Our Commitment to Those in Need
At Municipal Charities of Plymouth, our commitment to preventing and relieving poverty is underlined by a set of policies & procedures adopted by The Board of Trustees in line with relevant legislation. The Board of Trustees meet at least six times a year.
Policies & Procedures of The Charity
‘The Charity’ here represents The Municipal Charities of Plymouth – a registered charity in England and Wales under the legal name ‘Municipal Charities’ with the charity number 203516 – and its associated charities, including The Joan Bennett Exhibition Endowment, The Orphans’ Aid Education Foundation, and others. The Trustees of The Charity have a legal obligation to act in the best interests of The Charity and in accordance with its governing documents. They are committed to ensure a safe living and working environment for all those who have access to The Charity’s premises. The Trustees will not tolerate anti-social behaviour that affects the life of a Resident. The Trustees are committed to developing a way of working that respects differing ideas, cultures, abilities, and needs.
