The day I was awarded my Almshome was just an amazing day for me, I have had many ups and downs in my life, as so many have, and since day one of living here, the support from the Trustees and my immediate neighbours, settled me immediately. The charity is amazing, caring and considerate. I am blessed to have my Almshouse accommodation, makes me smile every day.

Friendly atmosphere. Safe environment. Supportive and helpful Trustees and Clerk. Repairs carried out as soon as they possibly can be.

Without the Almshouse, we would all have real difficulty in putting a roof over our heads!

Since moving into the Rawlin Homes Almshouses it has given me a safety net to be able to enjoy my time within a small community of ladies. The courtyard garden is a hidden gem and gives us plenty to talk about and enjoy

As a school, we would like to thank Orphan Aid. You have helped us for many many years now. As you know we are in a highly deprived area…. You have also helped some parents who even though working are just above the poverty line. I think you have supported many more than the allocated amount of families, for at least 15 years. For most this has been a lifeline. Many thanks to you all, past and present trustees.

The school uniform grant means a lot to our parents who struggle financially. It means they can start their new school with a brand new school uniform and feel the same pride as the other children. They don't feel like second class citizens, because they don't have to have a second hand uniform.
